Cy and I are obviously in love with The Metropolitan Hotel. In my case, Cy said that The Metropolitan Hotel seemed like it was "designed" for me because it's got everything I like and need...and one of those needs would be trying out vegetarian-friendly restos--and I need not go out of our hotel just to try one of the best ones because Glow was conveniently located in the 2nd floor of our hotel. And get this--it comes for FREE as part of our breakfast meals!
Much like the hotel itself and Como Shambhala's sanctuary. Glow also has that chic elegance and peaceful feel to it. For our breakfast, we were actually allowed to choose one a'la carte appetizer from the menu, one choice of a main course, one healthy drink, and coffee or tea. Our breakfast could have easily amounted to 1,000 to 2,000 Baht but we got it all for free!
For our healthy drinks, I picked "The Pink Delight" w/c had watermelon with ginger and Cy had the 'Green Clean" one that was supposed to cleanse your liver. They were obviously the super healthy drinks that tasted like medicine and we weren't too keen on finishing it but our server was kind enough to give us other juices in replace of it, we were unfortunatey in a hurry so we didn't have it changed anymore.
For our appetizers, Cy had the "Nutty Seeded Bircher Muesli" and I had the "Homemade Tropical Muesli w/ Mango, Banana, and Nut Milk" and with our yummy mueslis alone, we were already full!
For our main course, I had the "Sweet Corn Cake w/ Poached Egg, Roast Tomatoes, Asparagus, and Dill Yogurt", while Cy had the "Spiced Chick Sausage w/ Scrambled Eggs, Tomato and Avocado Salsa" -- we absolutely enjoyed it!
The menu at Glow is pretty innovative, unique, and well-thought out and this healthy slant is in line with the COMO Shambhala menus available at all COMO properties. For more details on Glow, CLICK HERE :)
XOXO,
Kai :)
