One of the reasons why Cy and I just absolutely love The Metropolitan Hotel is the fact that all the other establishments in their compound are also top rated--and the Met Bar is no exception to that. One of the top night spots ranked by Asia Web Direct, the Met Bar first opened in London in 1998 and became one of the hottest clubs west of Ibiza and its Bangkok counterpart is just as hot. When Cy and I entered the bar, with its amazing ambiance and cool Asian beats, we were immediately impressed.
Not only are the music and the drinks unique to Met Bar, the food as well is said to have innovative, modern Thai dishes. Since we were gonna have dinner somewhere else, we just tried their Spicy Papaya salad and they weren't kidding when they said Spicy.
We didn't stay for very long as we just had such a hectic Friday night schedule but we were definitely impressed and we really wished we had more time to lounge. But I highly recommend the cocktail drinks and the music is I think enough to make you feel really pumped up
